15. Procedure for cleaning staff for daily cleaning of GMO1 laboratories

Rooms: R122, R124, R128, R130, R133, T238, R224, R229, R233, R248, R250 og R251

 

Classification to be checked: GMO1 laboratories are labelled on the door : ”Genteknologisk Laboratorieområde klasse I”. This plan covers the daily cleaning carried out by the external cleaners employed by Life. Spring cleaning is carried out by the staff of the two sections.


Cleaning plan:

  1. Cleaning staff should only clean sinks, taps and floors and remove the rubbish bag from the bit bins.
  2. Tables, chairs and cupboards must be cleaned by the laboratory staff.
  3. The cleaning staff is required to wear special lab coats which can be found hanging in one of the laboratories in the section. These should be pointed out to the cleaners by the regular staff.
  4. Floors should be dry-mopped or washed.
  5. Cloths or mops which have been in contact with biologically active items should be autoclaved before returning to the cleaning staff for washing.
  6. The cleaning trolley must be kept in the corridor.
  7. In case of accident: ask someone from the safety group noted below.
