12. Fire Instructions
In case of fire:
1. Basic rules if there is a fire:
- Put out the fire if possible.
- Save any person in immediate danger.
- Inform the fire brigade and evacuate if necessary.
- For fire in laboratory apparatus or electrical installations do not use water. Extinguish with a CO2 extinguisher or a fire blanket.
- Person on fire: Use water, wet lab coats or a fire-blanket.
- Inventory on fire: Use water.
- Powder fire extinguisher can be found in the centre of each section of the building.
2. Alert the Frederiksberg Fire Brigade using the fire glass (situated just outside the glass doors in each section), or call 0 - 112.
3. Close all doors and windows and close valves on gas cylinders.
4. If evacuating is necessary: follow the instructions given by the evacuating leader (person in yellow waistcoat) to be found by the fire extinguisher.
5. Proceed to the assembly point and report to the assembly point leader (orange waistcoat).
