CURIS

CURIS is synonymous with the universities research database, in which one can find information about projects, publications and activities.

Why we register in CURIS?
Data entered in CURIS is very central and is used for a number of important functions:

  • The researcher's personal profile view is generated by data from CURIS
  • The employees' activities are made visible
  • For research collaborations, the database can be used to find out which scientists are involved in specific research areas
  • The ability to enter project data is used to meet the requirements of transparency in terms of research funding and private partners
  • The Department's incentive structure is calculated among other things on the basis of these data
  • The Department's annual report is generated by CURIS
  • LIFE's two-year budgeting uses the entered data as parameter
  • The national indicator statements showing faculty / the University's activities retrieve information from CURIS

Who registers in CURIS?

The Section secretary is responsible for entering publications into the CURIS database. Accounting staff enter new grants into the project database. This requires considerable resources, and it is therefore very important that you regularly throughout the year deliver relevant material to your Section secretary to ensure she is not swamped by entries up to the annual report deadline. Make it a habit to deliver relevant material (see below "What is registered in CURIS?") to your Section secretary / accounting staff as soon as a project is granted and a publication is published.

In addition, a regular update of the database also contributes to continually providing an accurate picture of our various activities, and your website profile is always kept updated.

What is registered in CURIS?
Projects:
In CURIS projects are equal to grants. Therefore it is, as mentioned in connection with external activities, important that you remember to deliver a copy of the grant commitment to the Section secretary with respect to data inputting.

The university is obliged to publish privately funded research, according to a circular which was prepared on the basis of the Dandy case, and therefore all projects which privately funded must be entered into CURIS, and the actual amount (kroner / øre) must be published.

Publications:

The following types of publications are entered into CURIS' Publication section:

  • Peer-reviewed articles
  • General research articles
  • Proceedings
  • Chapters in books / monographs
  • Popular scientific articles, reader letters, etc.

In order for the entered publication to be validated at the library, it is important that you submit a copy to the Section secretary.

Activities, posters and abstracts:
Activities, posters and abstracts are no longer entered in CURIS, but all staff are encouraged to add these to their personal profile.
