CITES

The Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology has received permission to implement exemptions from the Washington Convention (CITES) from the Danish Forest and Nature Agency. This means that scientific materials imported from countries outside the EU are permitted, if they are provided with a CITES tag. When shipping from the Department to non-EU countries the dispatch must be registered and provided with a special label.
 
The material covered here is typically living plant material, herbarium specimens or other dried, frozen, preserved or embedded museum material.
 
Registration and dispensing of labels takes place after contacting the Head of Department.
