Outreach

The Department researchers readily get involved in the public debate and willingly contribute to the understanding of the topics we address in our day-to-day work including topics as e.g. plant biotechnology and gene modification as well as questions about ethics.

 

Among several initiatives Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology has put a lot of effort into the project Check on biotech. The idea is to allow upper secondary school students to check out genetic engineering on their own and to work with genetically engineered plants in the classroom. Read more about Check on biotech.
