Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (NNFCB) - 14.01.2011

The Novo Nordisk Foundation has donated 700 mill kr. to the Center for Biosustainability. The center is hosted by Denmarks Technical University and was inaugurated December 16.
 
Birger Lindberg Møller is one out of five scientific directors and in charge of “Plant Pathway Discovery” with an approximate budget of 140 million DKK. Most of the research in theis section will take place at KU-LIFE at the Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology.

 

The center will focus its research activities on the development and expansion of the concept of microbial cell factories. The extensive chemical diversity of bio-active natural products found in the plant kingdom is integrated by dedicated research on plant pathway discovery.
