	Thomas Sundelin started as a postdoc the 17th of Juli 2011 in Mari-Anne Newman's group (Innate Immunity), working on a Villum Foundation funded 3 year project. He is looking at the mechanisms by which bacterial determinants elicit defence responses. The project specifically aims to characterize recognition events and the following signalling in both plants and fungi in response to bacterial pathogens and bacterially derived microbe-associated molecular patterns (MAMPs).
