Thomas Günther-PomorskiThomas Günther-Pomorski is a biophysicist by training and comes from a position as a Junior Professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin. His research focuses on the identification and characterization of lipid transporters in cellular membranes.

Together with the team of Professor Michael Palmgren and other members of Department of Plant Biology and Biotechnology he will analyze the role of P4- ATPases in lipid transport using a number of biophysical approaches. His work is embedded into the Centre for Membrane Pumps in Cells and Disease - PUMPKIN.

"I am looking forward to integrating my biophysical background in the research at the department and getting into the field of plant physiology", says Thomas Günther-Pomorski.
